Missing woman who jumped into Delaware River in Bucks County found by Pennsylvania State Police

RIEGELSVILLE, Pennsylvania (WPVI) — Pennsylvania State Police successfully located a woman who had been reported missing after she jumped into the Delaware River on Monday.

The incident took place on Durham Street in Riegelsville Borough, Bucks County, right after 6:30 p.m.

Troopers responded to a domestic incident at the scene involving a 30-year-old woman and a 34-year-old man.

According to investigators, the pair fled the area upon arrival.

State police conducted a thorough investigation of the area and observed the woman walking alongside the Delaware River path with three children.

According to state police, troopers made an attempt to communicate with the woman, but she ended up jumping into the water.

Despite their efforts, authorities were unsuccessful in their attempts to rescue the woman and bring her back to shore.

During the water rescue attempt, the man who was part of the incident came back to the scene and was apprehended due to an existing warrant.

On Tuesday, the woman was eventually located, although the details of where and how she was found remain unclear. According to the troopers, she was fortunate to be unharmed.

Authorities have also indicated that they are in the process of filing criminal charges against her.
